Museum Hack
Client: Museum Hack is a company providing unique tours through the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Their aim is to call attention to stories you've never heard before and spotlight art in the museum outside of the cis, white, male lens.
The Challenge: Create original content for a 90 minute tour that showcases works within the Met's collection that are frequently overlooked. All of this work was to be researched and tagged with at least four credible sources, be written in a script-like format, deliverable by any tour guide, provide humor and something unexpected, and it was to meet the DEIB criteria given to our team at the beginning of the project.
The Result: Over the course of a few months, a 90 minute tour was developed and soft launched at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with raving reviews. These tours bring in people who usually wouldn't be caught dead in a museum.

The Horse Fair by Rosa Bonheur, 1852-55
With this tour stop, I explore how Rosa Bonheur defied gender norms, hetero norms, and expectations of what it was to be a badass, self-sustaining artist during her time. A major highlight on this stop: "She's really gay and had pet lions. Dreams can come true."
